What to Expect

puppy1.png After arriving at the Bayport Veterinary Hospital Office, you will get to meet the receptionists as you check in at the front desk. After giving your paperwork to the receptionists, who will add the paperwork to your pets' chart, you will be able to get a weight on your pet using the walk on scale in the waiting room (for any pet who is stubborn, there are freeze dried liver treats provided to help you out).

At the time of your appointment, a room assistant will call you and your pet into a room where they will go over the basics of why you are visiting the office. Then the room assistant will get the doctor, who will then continue your appointment.

Bring in any medical history you have for your pet when you come to Bayport Veterinary Hospital. It is best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. The doctors can work with whatever information you have.

In some circumstances, the doctors will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.
