End of Life Care

"Never. We never lose our loved ones. They accompany us; they don't disappear from our lives. We are merely in different rooms." -Paulo Coelho

Unfortunately, our pets do not live as long as we would like. When the time comes to say goodbye, the staff at Bayport Veterinary Hospital want to make the process as comfortable as possible for both you and your pet. We will do everything we can to best accommodate the day you wish to say goodbye.

After saying goodbye, there are three options open to you. These are:

  • Private Cremation- Once in the care of Final Gift, your pet will be placed in a private crematory chamber which allows ashes to be placed in an urn and returned to you
  • Communal Cremation- Once in the care of Final Gift, your pet is cremated in a group setting and ashes will receive a proper burial at the discretion of Final Gift
  • Take Home- This option allows you to take home your pets' remains for proper disposition; local laws apply
